What is it about boys and food challenges?
Scott and I ate at Ohio Deli Restaurant in Columbus today and he ordered the Dagwood sandwich - a 7 inch high monstrosity with turkey, ham, roast beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato and who knows what all else PLUS batter-dipped fries. The waitress asked him if he wanted to take the Dagwood Challenge which meant that if he could finish everything on his plate in under 30 minutes he would get a T-shirt and his picture taken and put up in the restaurant to document his supremacy.
His response? Of course! (This from the man who hates having his picture taken, soooooo... it must have been the draw of a free T-shirt. Or the chance to prove his manliness by consuming massive amounts of food.)
He is now the proud owner of this...
and a huge stomachache.
I told him that next time he should just enjoy his food and I will buy him a T-shirt and write "I ate a ginormous sandwich and a pile of fries" on it with a Sharpie!

Poor Scott... I hope he is feeling better. And welcome back!
Hooray! A post! Wow, Scott can really put it away! He should go to a steak house in Texas where you have to eat a 64oz steak, baked potato, shrimp cocktail, salad, and a roll - and if you can, it's a free meal! :o) Makes me sick just thinking about it.
Ha ha. Jeff will probably make a special trip to Columbus to get a free t-shirt! Congrats (?) to Scott!
How funny! That will be a fun memory for you guys. Make sure that you don't tell my hubby about that one!! Guys are always up for a challenge, aren't they?!
That is so funny! Way to go Scott! I am sure my Scott would have loved the challenge too.
ROFL! What possessed that man to volunteer for a stomach ache and a photo shoot? Steve will get a kcik out of it. He would totally have done the same thing.

Sooo funny! I would have loved to see that.---- Yes, I finished Breaking Dawn. I got it on Saturday morning and finished the following Monday morning. I loved it!!!! Kurt says "Hi". Hopefully we can visit someday and trade stories about him!
Angela.
Good job Scott. Next time you come to Dallas we can take the 64 ounce challenge. Our wives will be so proud!!
Back in the day when food went from my mouth down to hollow legs, I could eat over ten slices of pizza! There was even a time that I won a pie eating contest...it was an entire pie! I wanted to puke sooo bad! But there's something about winning that made me keep it in! Scott, I probably would've done it too! ;)
